Sam leads an international team of facilitators, builders and doers. They cocreate and manage residency programs with the Retribalize team, with several active projects around the world. Sam's community building work is scaffolded with an ecology of practices including Circling, Authentic Relating, embodied philosophy, neotantra, somatic therapy, Rebirthing Breathwork, meditation, ritual and ceremonial work, bodywork, and psychedelic facilitation. Sam is a psychology and philosophy graduate with deep intellectual expertise in the diverse frameworks of John Vervaeke, Jamie Wheal, Daniel Schmachtenberger, Jordan Hall, Carl Jung, Nora Bateson, Nate Hagens, Tyson Yungkaporta, and Sebastien Dienst (among others), which he applies to the work of ecocultural design (wisdom schools) and meta-cultural transformation by creating spaces for new forms of Emergent culture and consciousness. He was educated at the University of Melbourne and grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in Australia's Yarra Valley, giving him a strong foundation in living systems, a functional intergenerational community, and a mature connection with the natural world. Sam is a connector, creator and communicator, a generalist with a deep relational toolkit founded in empathy, deep listening, and Socratic eduction, as well as systems thinking and the human sciences. He is a translator of complex ideas and symbols, rooted in Pythagorian, neoplatonic, and neo-Jungian thought streams. Sam brings hands-on facilitation capability across a broad ecology of practices — Circling, Authentic Relating, Dialogos, somatic therapy, rebirthing breathwork, bodywork, ritual and ceremonial spaces, philosophical counselling, and psychedelic facilitation — intended for individual and collective transformation and community coherence. He applies ecocultural design principles and team-of-teams protocols to community building projects, drawing on a deep literacy of metacrisis aware thinkers including Vervaeke, Wheal, Schmachtenberger, and Jordan Hall (among many others). He is experienced in designing and running residencies, retreats, and immersive inter-cultural creative programmes. His intention is to help catalyse new forms of culture and consciousness, which can smoothly incorporate innovative work in fields like regenerative economics, Web3, the emergent commons, agroecology, permaculture, biohacking, regenerative medicine, cosmo-local governance, etc.
